Hi Boo: It is called a horse-mint-rose. I use it to clean
out the ears & remove nose hair. If you want the formula
send a self-addressed envelope to Dr. Smith, PO Box-666
Grand Central Station, NY, NY. Btw include $20.00 for
shipping & handling. Hope this helps in your search for
knowledge & good health. :)
Tickettyboo...
LOL ...if only I had $20.00 ...:-)
Sincerely yours,
John:

Wow John, that certainly sounds a bargain. how much discount do you give
for bulk sales? :)
~~Linda~~...
Hehe, this thread cheered me up after a bit of a night (and early morning,
see thread about barking dog)
It's a Geum... well done MCC... also come in reds, yellows and a pretty
lemon one that is growing extremely well right outside my window :-)
John the R-T...
YA Mrs Bradshaw AICMFP. :-)
I should have looked more closely at the stems. Lavatera have a woody
stem.
Your fingers are getting greener by the minute!
Old Grizzly...
Morning Lin,
So is that the latin name for a Dafodil? ;-)
Coats...
See, I knew it was right. :-)
MCC...
My first guess at a Scarlet Poppy was obviously wrong but I was just
guessing at the size of the flower because there was nothing in the picture
to give it scale and Boo didn't tell us in her post.
Geums, both red and yellow, grew well in my Grandma's garden in Orkney,
that is why I remembered it.
So where do I collect my prize?
~~Linda~~...
Er... Boo will be along with it later ;-)
MCC...
Old Grizzly...
its the only one i know LOL
andon...
It is a red one Boo. A red one.
Tickettyboo...
MCC...
Is is a Scarlet Poppy?
Tickettyboo...
dunno, don't think so ( but what would I know lol)
Rabbit...
That was my first guess but I thought I'd let somebody else suggest it first
:-)
Tickettyboo...
LOL it must be eejits night out..go stand in the corner with Len!
It's certainly not a daffodil - cos they are blue :-))
Tickettyboo...
Oh ~~Linda~~ is going to despair of us all LOL
Rabbit...
No, never ( unless you grow the bulb in ink) but they are green ;-)
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
It's most likely a juvenile triffid, but don't let on, we don't want to
pmj...
Nope.
That's one thing it definitely *isn't*!
(Luckily for Boo)
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Are you sure you've seen the rigt thing then?
start a panic do we? ;)
pmj...
Oi you!
Shutup about Triffids!!!
Last Year I spent *ages* getting rid of umpteen Triffid colonies
that had invaded the patch of land at the back of a House that I have.
:-(
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
You're lucky to still be with us then. :)
& now that you've been & gone & mentioned it, they'll all prolly
be perking up & marching back in again!!!
:-(
Closely followed by hordes of Ivy & various kinds of brambles
& thistles
:-(
My poor old Strimmer (& GrassCutter/LawnMower) will be burned out
if these things keep growing they way they are at the mo!
& the Shredder Blades need sharpening yet *again*, cos some of
the Plants that grow around here really *are* tough old things!
MCC...
And here's proof!
Rabbit...
pmj...
ROFL!!!
:-)
Hey!
can you come down (over to?) here & do a "job" on some of the
stuff that's growing round here?...
I reckon if you can Colour the things Green, then they will
match the rest of the Grass a bit better.
:-)
& that way, they won't stand out so much.
But then, a bit later, after the Sun has been on the Grass,
for a few weeks, you'll have to come back & Colour them all
a sort of Parched, Yellowy, Browny Colour, to match the Grass!

MCC...
Please Miss! I now think it is a Geum. Also available in yellow.
Tickettyboo...
I think you are certainly the closest so far I looked at some piccies
on the web and it does look like it :-)
Coats...
Ooo, I found this and by george I think hes right. :-)
6th row, second from the right. Thats mine, so yours could well be one too.
:-))
ned...
I've been sticking my tongue out 'cos it was writ just there on the
tip of it.
MCC...
Anita...
I thought that too - but am not sure now ;))
MCC...
I'm in some doubt too because of the hairy stems and the leaves don't look
right either.
The only other suggestion I can make is Portulaca but I'm just guessing
pmj...
Does it really matter exactly what actual sort of Plant it is???...
Cos it seems to be growing & managing/coping OK.
& Boo (& several others) seem to think it looks pretty enough?
Why not just let the poor thing grow?
& let it enjoy itself in peace?
It won't last all that long anyway, (not with the fancy Coloured bits)
cos Summer (followed by Autumn) is now here.
Can you make Jam from it?
If so, p'raps Boo might send a Cutting from it?
Cos I like things that grow that can have Jam made from them.
Jam & Clotted Cream!
Yummy!
I don't think it will give any Clotted Cream, will it?
But you could send some real, proper, genuine Cornish Clotted Cream
to go with the Jam, couldn't you?
now.
Jackie...
How about an anemone, spelling is wrong but you may know what I mean? also
mauve and blue colours!!
Tickettyboo...
no don't think so Jackie
Old Grizzly...
I told you!! its Daftydil ;-))
~~Linda~~...
And she told you... you're the dafty one! rofl
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
That took a long time and a lengthy thread, didn't it? LOL
That's where I read it, Ned :-))
Tickettyboo...
ooh what a funny colour ! You feeling ok , ned?
BoyPete...
It's a .........................pretty one. :)
Tickettyboo...

wouldn't have had so much fun :-)

Tickettyboo...

but couldn't see it.
I will do the sensible thing and point our ~~Linda~~ in the direction of
the pics tomorrow. She'll know.
Old Grizzly...

Tickettyboo...

Anita...
Well, I could be wrong - but I think it is a Peony I had one that
colour.
Have a look here:
Tickettyboo...
No, the leaves aint right for a paeony ( but you reminded me cos I aint
got one and I love them) and the flowers are a lot smaller.
Rabbit...
A pretty red one. Just do wot I do and re-christen it :-)
Coats...
I got one from B&Q last year for 50p. Must be catching. Mine is flowering
now as well. Cant remember what is is though sorry. Wait til the end of the
season and see if they have any more. :-)
Tickettyboo...
Think I got mine in Morrisons, along with the stick and a Lenten Rose.
Will be mooching round there again cos all three seem to be doing ok.
John the R-T...
Looks like a Lavatera to me.
If it is I hope it's in a large pot as they can grow to over 5ft tall.
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
I have some that grows to about 6', at which point I get the pruning sheers
out. :)
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Yep, this is more like mine like mine.
