We've tried absolutely everything. Changed scart leads from end to end,
changed them from socket to socket, followed all the wires to check
everything is connected, and I suppose I should be pleased it wasn't
anything I missed. Cos if I did, then we both missed it. We connected the
DVD player again, and we did at least get sound, but no picture from tv,
video or DVD.

When I first connected a DVD player to my TV I had to adjust the TV input

makes are you appliances?
|
- I had a choice of RGB, composite and S-Video. It may be that you need to
tell the TV what type of signal to expect from the SCART socket the DVD is
connected to (RGB is best if you have that choice).
|
Phoned my neighbour, and her NTL tv is fine, so I've left a recorded message
with a local tv firm and hopefully they will call me on Monday.
So sadly, a nice lunch, but no television. Oh well, I'll have to play with
myself this evening lol

One of the best gadgets I have ever bought was one of these little chaps -
Now I can watch FreeView TV on my laptop. I get perfect reception using the
little stick aerial that came with it but then I'm only 3 miles from the

Steady on or someone might tell you where you can stick your little stick
aerial. LOL
Rabbit...
|
Where would that be then ???:-)
BunnyHare...

I got one of those but rarely use it just as I rarely watch tv

Your imagination gone on strike for the day then? :)
Rabbit...
|
No, my imagination is fine but if I'm imagining correctly I didn't think
Mike would get a very good TV signal from there ;-)
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
It shouldn't make that much difference to him being that close to the
transmitter. Microwaves can penetrate quite a long way you know. LOL
Rabbit...
|
Yeah but where will he be able to see the picture ???:-)
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
I think he'd have *got* the picture by then. :)
