pandamonium...
We're after a new set of pans. Does anyone have any recommendations of what
to buy? Mrs Monium's got dodgy wrists so lighter pans would be good for her

frogman...
I've had a set of Morphy Richards stainless steel pans for a couple of
years now and quite honestly cannot fault them.

but I prefer heavier based pans with good thermal transfer properties. We
could go for two sets though...

MCC...
Go for stainless steel, I would say. Teflon wears off eventually.

Jeff Gaines...
My last boss's Teflon coating never wore off :-)

MCC...
Bill Clinton's is pretty good too :-))

We have a stainless steel pan/steamer/porringer - the pan has a sandwich
bottom -copper and steel - and it is excellent. And they are not heavy.

If I was going to buy anything else I might go for enamelled cast iron but
they'd be too heavy for Mrs Monium.

Aries...
I join the others in saying Stainless Steel every time, except for frying
pans - then teflon is best in my eyes so long as it is best quality :D

Pam the goose...
Didn't you get a Prestige CB/SS frying pan?
I did and wouldn't swap it!

Aries...
I do have a very large good quality stainless steel frying pan but hardly
use it - much prefer the non stick ones - sorry Pam :)

rofl
I wouldn't use anything else ... er..... when I used to
cook, that is:))
I have had several non-stick ones and given them up and gone
back to my good old CB/SS one every time.
