I often feel like that Jen. After I was told my blood sugar was up last
week I was wondering if that might be the cause, since the amount blood
sugar does vary quite a lot. Then again lots of viruses seem to have the
same effects. How many times are we told by the doc that it's "one of those
viruses that are going about" ? :)

Too often :-( Son had a classic case of bacterial tonsillitis a couple of
weeks ago ( it didn't need a medical degree to ID it) by the time he got an
appointment with his GP it had more or less cleared up. The diagnosis was a
virus. When son showed the GP a picture ( digital cameras are wonderful
:-) ) of his throat taken a week before the answer was yes you had bacterial
tonsillitis but you now have a virus infection which may or may not have
caused the tonsillitis. Sorry I might not have a medical degree but I
suffered tonsillitis too often as an adult not to know the symptoms, besides
you can smell tonsillitis and real tonsillitis is like the Flu, not just a
sore throat.

Whilst I don't entirely disagree with your point ( though only about the
