Not like me to start one of these, but couldn't get back to sleep.
His Lordship decided it would be fun to play "Let's play chase with FN" at
03-30. Jumped on the bed, then off the bed -dashed downstairs, round the
lounge then back up the stairs. Then keep repeating this until FN gets up.
Anyhow when he was sorted he went back to bed and is now fast asleep,
leaving wide awake FN unable so to do. OK it's Wednesday washday so we'll

It's a grey day here as far as the eye can see, mild though with even the
little breeze we had yesterday gone. If it stays like this I fear I won't be
able to talk myself out of jbexing in the garden today so in a way I am
hoping for some wet stuff. Then again that will make more weeds grow :-(
Good morning one and all.

Well I was hoping so too. Then I started to do the washing. Yep! The
drizzle had stopped, it had got nice and warm and the washing m/c was
purring along. Then I transferred the sodden rags from the washer bit
(tub) of the twintub to the spin and rinse bit. Fired it up - spun fine but
no water being pumped out. Had to siphon all the water from the washer
(with it full it's too heavy to move around). Rinsed all the soggy bits in
the sink. Took the washing m/c apart. My diagnosis was correct - an
overworn and stretched drive belt between motor and pump. Well I had a
spare of sorts, but it's slightly over size and so doesn't w*rk so well.
Managed to adjust the position of motor and pump so that the belt drives the
pump OK, but that slackens the drive belt for the spinnier - meaning that
doesn't get up to full speed. Hoover don't supply replace drive belts for
my model washer anymore, so it's ring round all the local repairer guys to
see if any of them have any old stock. Well it's either that or buy a new
automatic m/c and get it plumbed in. That will most likely mean a new sink
and draining board assembly too. And all that will cost am arm and maybe
two legs. Hey ho! Looks like that pension I started collecting last month
is disappearing faster that it's arriving. :(
If anyone has any ideas about obtaining parts - the washing m/c is a
Hoovermatic de luxe, model T5054 001 Serial No. 30400147 like one of

It looks interesting - they don't have the model T5054 listed only the 5004
and 5024. The description of the stretch pump belt (T5024) could be tghe
same one. Will try to make further enquiries.
However using their search engine for the T5054 the only two items available
are Spinner belt and washer belt - I have those two. :(
Will keep looking

Try here :
they do show the stretch pump belt as being obsolete - but if you click
on the item it takes you to an alternative one !

it can be used for/
Good luck in your search

Morning all,
A bright sunny morning here - and it is very warm out. Been busy here
already this am, visit from 3 people wanting to book the hall I manage.
Visit from our local police to help try and sort out the inmates of a
local
'in care' house - who seem bent on making life for those that use the
hall hard.
The police are going to court this afternoon to try and get an order
served to have the inmates moved out of the house - to somewhere that is
not too close to a residential area. How they are going to achieve it I
do not know, I believe they are trying to get them moved out of the
area - thereby making life uncomfortable for others.
Oh well, we will see what the outcome will be of this.
Hope all have a good day,

You have been busy haven't you Anita.
How is your leg now. And how is Ron these days
Anita...
|
Well Jen, I have turned to Magnetic Therapy - and it appears to be
working. The fluid has almost gone from the leg and, although the ankle
still hurts when walking on it, it is certainly easier than what it was.
When I go to w**k I strap it up and it holds out till I return -
although I am still using a crutch - but not indoors anymore. Hopefully,
with time, the pain might lessen even more.
Ron has a magnetic bracelet now and the pain in his arm has subsided -
started to 3 days after putting the bracelet on. They do say it can take
14 days, but it has worked quicker for him. He is still awaiting news of
his op - should hear any day now.
I turned to Magnetic Therapy, partly out of desperation and partly
because my sister has been using it for about 6 years. She had a
mastectomy and removal of the lymph glands over 6 years ago. This meant
she had a build up of fluid in her arm - which made the arm very heavy
and painful.
She turned to Magnetic Therapy and within 1 week the fluid had gone -
she removed the bracelet and within 3 days it was there again. So she
replaced it and had a word with her encologist who told her to put the
bracelet back on and not to remove it again.
This she did and was fine for 6 years - but 3 weeks ago she had to have
a pacemaker fitted so the bracelet had to be removed.
So far the fluid has not returned and, with luck, she might have worn it
long enough for it not to do so.
We keep our fingers crossed :)
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...

I will. Mind you, you did get it for free. :)
