I've jut had a peep at the bud on the other one ( it's opened quite a bit
this afternoon ) and it looks like it's the same two tone. I woz robbed 'cos
I bought two different ones :-(

That's paranoia :-) Mind you Day of the Triffids was a scary film in it's
time, a great film to see with a boyfriend ;-)

I had read the book several times before I ever saw the film. Found the
book much more scary, but then that's probably due to my imagination. :)

I saw the film with my then husband to be. After walking me home ( nobody
had cars in those days) he had to walk about three miles home ( a concept
probably unknown to today's youngsters :-) ). The quickest way was through a
wood, which normally was no problem but after seeing that film he told me he
made it in record time. He *knew* it was only animals rustling in the
undergrowth but.... :-)

I'm pleasantly surprised, it's a nicer colour than I thought it was going to
be. I also didn't notice till I uploaded that piccy how the edges of the
petals are so different from the other one and I can't even remember whether
the ruffled edge or the plain edge is the ones I had before.

It is, I can smell it just now but I think it will disappear tomorrow or

Very nice too Sandra, I like the striped ones too, I like to see the
hyacinths but I am afraid I do not like their perfume
they bring back sad memories!!
