Hi silversurfers: I thought you might get a kick out of these old
government photos. Some from the depression days & others
the homefront during WW-2.

'just' some old photos?? 'just' ????
Oh John, I have been poking round and they are wonderful!
If the fifth one on your list ( which ends in ...951v.jpg) is this one
which is a fantastic photo
Then this url will take you to the folder
That gives a list of folders which seem to have pics of what you
described. I just looked at the numbers of your urls and related them to
the last 3 numbers of each subfolder ( so 951 was in the subfolder called
1a34900) . I have bookmarked the main site and reckon I am going to spend
quite a few interesting hours there.

I heard that things were bad back then with the drought but
I never realised that even the houses shrivelled up too.
Is this a sign of the times?
I must say that I was surprised at the number of pictures that
featured John's dungarees :-)

Hi andon: I love those dungarees. Since 1939 when my dad
bought them for me I had the waist let out 97 times. Actually
some new material was added from a circus tent. Fashion is
my life. LOL

each picture, in differing sizes and formats.
collection John was in.
Very interesting John, I've book-marked the main site.
Pity I can't identify which particular pictures you wanted us to see.

I was converted to the "comfort look" years ago.
I only wear tailored trousers when I absolutely have to.
My waist is the same size now as when I was 16 :-)
Shoulders got a bit broader, my head swelled on occasions,
and my height has decreased a fair bit.
I hate fashion - nasty french idea.
I like style. Just like your hat. "Stile dal Cuore"
