Was it you that showed interest in the fact that my Chemist and Doctor
were negotiating on not supplying me with lots of bottles/boxes of
tablets but that the doctor would supply the chemist with weekly
prescriptions for the chemist to put in a box for me so that every day

the tablets would already be picked and i just took those for that time
I did say i would show pictures of the box and here it is. Its hard to
see but the box is sealed and i just open the appropriate
compartment(s) in my case the morning dose is in 2 compartments as 1
was not big enough. In the lid is a list of those tablets that are
dispensed in the boxes jut like the labels you get on bottles etc

Hiya Len, the box is called a nomad round here. Part of the advice we give
out as social jbexers is that anyone who has more than one pill to take more
than twice a day should have the nomad system so any one, especially
emergancy services, can see exactly what has been taken and when. Its a

Coats please -
is this service for any one or just people living on their own??
Do they have to ask their Dr. about it or chemist?
just thinking, not for myself but for several people I know, whether
they could be told about this service as I had never head about it!

Jackie, i heard about this from the chemist and its a part of NHS
system, apparently, to have what they called an MOT to check i am
taking the pills correctly (ie in the morning not night & Morning) also
to check for conflicts. eg i am on aspirin and clopidogrel which is
unusual as normally its either one or the other, and so he questioned
this with my doctor who had been told in my case both to be taken by
the consultant. So it was he who suggested why not try this box of
pills approach. I start them tomorrow and get a new box every Monday

A really `great` service then Len.

Thanks Len, I was interested. Ted has to have tablets for his diabetes,
I have to set them out for him
as `he will not read the names on the packs` - He only has pills night
and morning but if I didn't watch him I am sure he would be taking the
wrong ones. I have seen little cases in the chemists for sorting your
pills out, I will get one of those.
Is that picture all your pills Len?? you would certainly have a job
sorting them every day without that box.

no Jackie that does not include pills that i might need to take on
demand eg Paracetimol and the like
