John in Cornwall...
Going to be a busy couple of days - June needs some new wooden rollers for
the mangle and I've got to try and get a new blade for my sycthe. Then we
have got to get some fly papers and a new dibber. Cant find the old one
anywhere - I rekon it got burried when I was putting last years taters in...

BunnyHare...
Don't you have any old four candles (fork handles)?
Make your own dibber. Just cut the handle to the required length then
sharpen the end.
Fly papers? Just get any old paper and spread honey on it.
As for the scythe, I'm sure your could sharpen up the old blade and use
it a bit longer and why does your wife need rollers for a mangle - she's
got hands, hasn't she? Let her wring the stuff out by hand. OK will
take a bit longer to dry but with this lovely sunny weather ..........

Take my advice and save yourself some time.

As soon as the traction engine's fired up head straight to your local
branches of:

Mangle Rollers R Us
Scythe Blades R Us
Fly Papers R Us
Dibbers R Us

Between them you should find everything you want. I think Mangle Rollers
R Us have a 3 for the price of 2 offer at the moment.

John in Cornwall...
Whot ? Who on earth would want Three mange rollers !!!!!

I s'pose anyone with a multi-roller mangle. I think the 'Mangle Rollers
R Us' offer applies to wooden rollers and the new high tech rubber

Makes me think of *Rambling Sid Rumpo* and his mangle wurzels :)

No, no! In partnership with his close friend Mr Williams 'Ramblimg Sid'
founded 'Mangle Wurzels R Us' ... a totally different outfit.

rollers. Honestly, I can't keep up with this advancing technology.
They'll be putting someone on the moon before we know it!

Is your scythe blade iron or bronze?
