Winter Fuel Payment

When is it payable. When is it normally paid?

I'll have to freeze for another couple of winters before I get mine.

When I finally do get it I can hopefully put it towards the air
conditioning. LOL :-)

I actually bought one this year to see if it would help my spondylitis.
It does btw. I use it every morning as soon as I get up and it seems to
loosen me up for the day. :-)

Well use it for another hour in the early evening - that'll save having to
put on the heating 'til much later. :)

It's in my utility room and I already jump on it a few times over the
course of the day for a few minutes at a time. :-)
It has a little computerised calculator thingy on the handlebars to
tell me how far I've gone etc and lots of other stuff but I tend to
ignore that and just exercise.

You could fix a dynamo to it and maybe connect it to an electric fire. :-)

I remember when I was taking a physics lesso about w*rk and energy, we
calculated the energy a pupil was producing by stepping up and down onto a
stoll quickly. It ended up as a race, and the best pupil, a right clever
little athlete, could only produce about 30 W flat out for about 30
seconds. Still the girlds were impressed by his determination to beat
everyone else.

Thanks for all the replies, but not been able to thank you all, because
my broadband has been down for 24 hours.

I've seen so much hype about energy saving this year. By the time I
start to save on the new wind generator, solar panel........., I'll be
long gone.
