Saxman...
I think this subject might have been discussed before, but here we
go.....

Using Firefox as a browser and clicking on a hyperlink in order to
bring up another window, such as clicking on the calendar icon on the
following website:-

The window does not display all the information available and the
'mazimaize' button is greyed-out.

The 'stretch window' option is also disabled.

I have no such problems with IE.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately, they are using JavaScript to Open up the new Window,
with the Calendar in it & JavaScript is notoriously *not* very good
at handling all the different Browsers that are used.

They use this Link on the Calendar Image...

That is calling up a JavaScript Function - "showCal()"

That Script Function is defined in the Script that is Loaded by this
Line near the beginning of the Section of the Page...

That (20 KB!) .JS File (which is a 3 year old Script, according to
Notes/Comments in it) is loaded from this URL...

It has quite a bit of "Browser Sniffing" type stuff in it, but it
still fails to correctly work with several currently used Browsers

It might be an idea to Contact the Webmaster of that Site & tell
them that it doesn't work in the Browser that you use.

I notice that they say on that Page that JavaScript isn't needed
& that the Site is (s'posed to be) an "Accessible" Version?

OK -JS may not be *needed*, just to View the Page, but it *is* needed
to work all the various bits of it.

So it's *not* actually very "Accessible"!
:-(

Saxman...
Thanks for the feedback. I had exactly the same problem on the
Wimbledon tennis site. By clicking on a link, a representation of the
scoreboard as we see it on centre court etc. opened up in a new window.
Same problem (unable to maximize the window to display all the
information). It wouldn't display properly within IE neither.

Just tried that page with both IE and Firefox - I get the same pop-up
calendar in both - just a small thing showing the days of the month, with
the ability to move to other months.
The maximize button is greyed out and the window can't be resized.

In my Web Browser that Window (containing the Calendar thingy)
*can* be ReSized & the Maximise/Restore Buton *isn't* Grayed out
(& the AddressBar & StatusBar is Visible)...

But then that's prolly cos I have my Web Filter & Advert/PopUp Blocker
thingy Set to *Re*-Enable any of those sort of things that any Scripts
try to Disable.
