Talk To The Hand

Someone gave me Lynne Truss's book on manners: "Talk To The Hand" for
Christmas. (I'd read "Eats.." and had mixed feelings)

My 2nd episode with it......YAWN!. And after a desultory 15 mins this
evg....it really is TEDIOUS..... I felt motivated enough to declare that

I notice just how

* literate

people here are

And I appreciate that

Not read it, though I enjoyed 'Eats'. Just read the review on Barnes and
Noble and it doesn't sound like I would enjoy it as much.

We try :-) I've always found that Mrs Doasyouwouldbedoneby was a far
better choice than Mrs Bedonebyasyoudid.

Back now to Alan Bennett's "Untold Stories". Oh yes.

Good isn't it? Bit on the big side for reading in bed though - makes an
awful racket when you fall asleep and the book slips to the floor :-))

Read and saw (on TV) the first series of "Talking Heads". Missed the 2nd...
I was working evgs and didn't even realise it was on!

Had the pleasure of seeing The History Boys recently. Wonderful. "Untold
Stories" is also a delight.
