Banana...
Hi Ned,

Hope you are well.

Do you remember that Feather-legged lace weaver spider I found on a cactus that I bought
from a garden centre near Leeds?

It's still living on the cactus (I'm thinking about charging rent). It made an egg sack
which has since dropped off the web for some reason or other.

A picture of it is here. I thought you might want a peep.

Hi there B
Well, there's a miracle! Who was Dad?
'Have to say the eggs don't look all that healthy.
Maybe it was one of those false preggers that stem from wishful
thinking. :-))
Then Mum came to her senses and cut them adrift as a waste of space.
But, if Mum is broody, maybe you should be looking for a young virile
mate to brighten up her life. :-)
I think the garden centre is due for another visit.
"Good morning Sir. Can I help you?"
"Yes, I'm looking for a male Feather-legged lace weaver."
"........... Er, I don't think we do Feather-le..... ."
" Oh, yes you do!" :-))

~~Linda~~...
I can imagine it too!

Can I be there ?
:-))

~~Linda~~...
Please take a video camera!! lol

Best wishes,

Banana :)

Hi Banana :-)

Very interesting that.

The boys once found a huge spider and kept it in a big sweet jar with leaves
etc in, they also fed it regularly and it produced an egg sack and babies.
They enjoyed watching the proceedings
