Thank you, John. Beautiful pics. I hadn't seen that website before.
Lake George is a beautiful lake, 32 miles long.
We camped on its islands every summer for 25 years.
Below are the words Thomas Jefferson wrote about Lake George:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Lake George is without comparison, the most beautiful water
I ever saw; formed by a contour of mountains into a basin...
finely interspersed with islands, its water limpid as crystal, and
the mountain sides covered with rich groves... down to the
water-edge: here and there precipices of rock to checker the
scene and save it from monotony."
-Thomas Jefferson, May 31, 1791
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've uploaded another pic of Lake George showing an island shaped like a
poodle.

Thankyou Sea !! what a lovely place, it must have been very special to go
back all those years ;-)))))

Thank you, Noreen. Yes, Lake George is lovely... a
Paradise for us for many years.
I've been meaning to thank you for your kind comment
at my PictureTrail website. I didn't even realize they had
that "Add a Comment" option, which is different from the
Guestbook option, as you probably know.
The "Add a Comment" allows viewers to comment on a
specific photo. Then the comment is sent to me by e-mail,
not exhibited to viewers, as the Guestbook is.
Anyway, I thought I'd mention that while I was thinking of it. (g)

That's 'cos your lot cheat - look at all the snow you have at home to
practise on. We never see anything like you've got atm. LOL
Remember Eddie the Eagle? Now what chance did he have with no snow to
train on?

I loved Eddie the Eagle,FN. He wasn't a cookie cutter
Olympian. He was fun to root for. We need more Eddie
