A beauty contest was being organized to select the Carnival Queen,

to be judged by none less than His Worship The Mayor.
The young hopefuls lined up, and his Worship resplendent with Gold Chain
proceeded to judge. He reached a comely contestant who was wearing a
rather daring low-cut dress on which she had strategically pinned a large
rose.
"Young lady",asked the Mayor "If I pluck your rose,would you blush?".
"Your Worship" retorted she "If I pulled your chain, would you flush?".
