Don't bank on it. We had our cash offer accepted for an empty flat on
September 12th. The estate agent suggested a mid November entry date. I said
how about mid October. Our solicitor said it could be done. It was October
3rd before he got anything from the vendors solicitor and that was missing
most of what was needed. He had even sent the 1959 lease instead of the

the estate agent and he made his client aware of the situation and also
spoke to their solicitors. Promises kept on coming but it was not until the
end of last week that most of the paperwork appeared. We exchanged contracts
on Thursday and now hope to move on December 11th. That will be 13 weeks

Goodness gracious me!!
I didn't realise it took that long.

Just read in a magazine of a hint for when you're getting your belongings
together to pack for the move.
Buy some paper plates and put one between each real plate and then stack
them neatly in boxes. Dinner size for dinner plates, tea size for tea plates

it filled the new house when I was getting the plates ready for the new

What about people who only use paper plates anyway? Do they have to go
and buy a whole dinner service/tea service before moving?
Pam the goose...
Good tip BTW!
