Well, what a change. I've woken up this morning feeling as

More great news Pam - keep it coming.

though I've cast off someone elses body and climbed into my
own!
Ali...

You are really amazing Pam. If you keep improving at this rate, you'll soon
be better than you were to start with.

Hello Missus with the bleeding head :-)
Pam the goose...
|
No, I *did* have a bleeding brain but they shoved three
coils of platinum in and stopped it!!
|
I hope you, or someone very close to you, have been keeping a log of all
these posts about your improvements, and all your experiences over the past
couple of years.
I think they should be published more widely because I'm absolutely certain
they would prove to be an inspiration to others similarly inflicted.
Pam the goose...
|
To be honest, Mike, I did think about it from the first go
and decided I was going to include the word "aneurism" in
the header of posts like that just in case someone had the
idea of searching the web to find references. I had absolutely no
help. No one told me what to expect, how to cope, how to
improve. All I have achieved on my road to
rui....er...recovery is what Ray and daughter have
encouraged me to do and from their capable way of looking
after me.
If I had the energy I would be tempted to write a site to
help people understand what they have to go through and how
close to normal they can get after a while but I haven't,
I'm too busy trying to get there!!
Rabbit...
|
Some day try groups and copy and paste all your healing posts into an
online diary. I'm sure they will be encouragement to anybody or their
families going through what you did.
Pam the goose...
|
An idea. Thanks:)
*I want to go on a short ferry trip and make an online
diary*

Eh 'scuse me but that should read *will* not *want* :-)

I give up with you!!!

|
PLEASE BE AWARE, that all time spent with me, on or off a ferry will be
decent and without misdemeanor. That is unless yo decide to inatiate
proceedings ;-)

|
|
Ah, come on, I've enough going on in my head today, allow me
one oversight:)
Rabbit...
|
Of course I will, and I know it was only a slip of the fingers, 'cos you
*are* going to see the beautiful Rhododendrons and Azaleas :-)
Pam the goose...
|
Yes, my idea of fun:)
You talking about a slip of the fingers sums up what's
happening to me today. My fingers are going 'ell for leather
over this KB and my eyes find it hard to keep up - to say
nothing of my brain! If I can't do something about the speed
of my fingers before I get strong enough to hold a knife and
fork I'll be shoving food down my throat instead of into my
mouth!!

Wonderful news Pam.

The repairs that you have had since your aneurism are miraculous. It is
wonderful to read about them and bring hope to others. I made you this to
celebrate. (Just showing off my new found skills really lol)
Pam the goose...
|
Oh, shaz, how lovely! Thanks so much:)
Am I the first recipient of a card from you?
It's absolutely beautiful. I'll print it out and stand it on
my desk:)

It's lovely to have people like you lot to share it with:)

This is great news Pam :-)

Jackie...
|
I am so pleased for you Pam, really great news, you have improved so quickly
just recently.
Keep it up.
Pam the goose...
|
Thanks, jackie:)
I'm in to keeping it up, it's amazing what you can achieve!
But I owe all my repairs to the treatment from Ray and
Cathy. Without their care I'd be a vegetable, I'm sure. I
feel sorry for people having to go through it on their own,
it just couldn't be done.
|
|
It's only cos things have changed so much over night that I
realise what I have felt like till now, basically as though
I was in someone elses body. One thing is certain - I can
look forward soon to holding a knife and fork cos my left
arm no longer aims for my mouth but hits my ear! All I need
to do is get some strength back into my left arm. I carried
a shopping bag in each hand just now from ASDA as far as the
car which was deliberately parked a long way from the store
so we had to walk quite a bit. Well, it's better than
forests in this weather! So I've begun the training:) As yet
I hadn't been trusted with shopping bags cos I was likely to
just drop them a few steps along the way back to the car:)
Rabbit...
|
Shhh even if you feel able, don't let on to Ray. Carrying things are one
thing men are good for ;-)
Pam the goose...
|
Oh, no way would I spoil things for him. Besides, he likes
his shopping to be treated with respect and I don't have any
of that sort of thing:)
|
|
We had a cuppa in ASDA and I was amazed to see a great
difference in the view. Another repair. I've got proper
perceptual 3D back. Before everything looked as though it
was a picture with no distance, now I can see things
properly with no problems:) It's quite joyful - just been
out to see how Ray's getting on with cleaning the 4x4
windows and the view along the street was amazing to me.
Just an ordinary everyday street but it was a miracle to me.
I could see the distance between houses, I could see that
Walter was miles above me. You don't miss it till you get it
back!
Rabbit...
|
See above don't tell Ray or he'll have you out washing the 4x4 next ;-)
Pam the goose...
|
It was always my job to clean the cars, not now, I'm pleased
to say:)
He's used my hairdryer and taken off all the old Hillrally
Club stickers that were on the windows so now it looks like
a real 4x4 instead of an off-road vehicle:))
|
|
And Ray says I'm brighter. I am certainly thinking when
nobody's talking to me - you know, the silly thoughts that
you think when you have time - even yesterday my mind was a
permanent blank when I was at rest. And I'm typing faster,
too:) So I'll shut up now I've shared that joyful news with
Smokey...
|
So nice to hear all your good news Pam, nature is wonderful !! Have you got
your track suit for the trainung yet ??
I bet you are looking forward to waking up tomorrow morning , soon you'll be
able to bring Ray a cuppa in bed :-))
Pam the goose...
|
ROFL
Oh, Smokey, you've hit on something I forgot to tell you cos
I had so much news. This morning I awoke just after 6 full
of the joys of Spring and needing to get up. So I came down
and had my brekkie and looked in UPS. At 8.15 I took a cuppa
up to Ray who I thought was still asleep, only to find he
pulled his head from under the bedclothes and said good
morning to me:)
So I *have* become able to bring him a cuppa in bed:)))
Smokey...
|
Great stuff !!! So ice to hear Pam, I am thrilled for you , and your family
:-))
Now , about that family history............................lol
Pam the goose...
|
Oi!!
I have a partition full of it on my hard drive and it's
staying there till I can understand what on earth it all
says!!
|
|
|
|
you all:))
Aries...
|
that's brilliant news Pam - how exciting for you, and for Ray ((hugs))
Pam the goose...
|
There you go .... another of those hugs that keep me going:)
Thanks Val:)

|

|
Absolutely wonderful Pam ,that brought tears to my eyes, to think what we
take for granted Pam
it is very humbling .
I love to read of these knew things that are happening to you ,keep going
Girlie ;-)))))
|
Anita Carter...
|
Yes, you are brighter - can see it in your postings, quite a difference :)
You might still have a way to go, but I am sure you will make many more
strides yet - Keep it up !!!
Pam the goose...
|
Ah, thanks for that, Anita:)
The worst thing about an aneurism is that it leaves you not
knowing how you are as opposed to how you should be.
Incidentally, maybe I ought to call it cerebular aneurism
(is that it?) cos you can have them anywhere. Just the ones
on the brain tend to be a little more problematical than
those anywhere else.

Foxy at w**k...

Your repairs are endless Pam..... Gret stuff
Pam the goose...

Thanks, Jen:)
I just wish they could be bigger and quicker!

role to play during the ferry trip.
Pam the goose...
|
Hey, if we need a life-saving penguin on duty on that ferry
trip I think I'll cancel the ride!!!!
Rabbit...
|
Oh no you won't :-)
Pam the goose...
|
If you have to take safety measures there's a good reason to
cancel!

Yes a swimming penguin will give Pam extra confidence :-)

enough to keep asking about me when I went out of my tree,
Cathy kept all the posts for me to read when I returned to
the land of the living, so I do want to let you all know the
good things that are happening. And I am certain the UPS
landers are helping them happen:)

Are UPS landers what certain people use to get from the mothership?

I think you're a walking miracle Pam. It is amazing how the body heals
itself, and you've had such a long recovery period - and it's not over yet.
Brilliant news, and jolly well done.
Pam the goose...
|
There's plenty more like me out there but they don't have
the wherewithal to tell people about it. And the medical
profession don't seem to want patients to know it can be
done.
Remember that first Dr I saw who said after 2 years I'd have
no more improvements? Then I saw the man who actually did my
op & told him. He said that was ridiculous, 5 years would
end the repairs. Then I saw the lady on Largs Prom, she'd
had the same op as me and said after 10 years she was still
repairing.
So, hang the medical profession, I prefer to believe that
lady. I'll still be repairing in 2012 and if I'm still alive
and kicking I'll expect to carry on improving after then if
I'm not back to being myself!!
