Faolan...
A rare opportunity exists from February 13th till the end of April to
see the archaeologists at work in one of the oldest kirks in Scotland.
Visitors will be welcome in the afternoon and with a presentation to
explain the history. There is few opportunities of this kind to explore
in these Kirks and the heritage that lies beneath.

Aberdeen>

Oh I do like the quote from Sir Winston Churchill that they have used, I
have always found it to be true :)

Smokey...
Where about is it in Aberdeen please, can you see it from the gardens near
the old theatre, by the railway line ??

Faolan...
Nope, it's the one next to the St Nicholas Centre, half way done Union
St, you can't miss it as it's got a massive graveyard around it and
colonnades on Union St.

Smokey...
Oh yes.................I know where you mean. Lots of people sitting in the
grave yard at lunchtimes ???Thank you.

BTW can you settle an argument/ discussion/ debate.....lol. Where was the
C&A shop in Aberdeen, and did it ever move ??

Faolan...
C&As was last in Bon Accord centre in Aberdeen it moved to their after
the centre was opened... But I can't remember where it was originally.

Chris S...
Hi C&A's was on the corner of Union Street and Bridge Street, prior to it's
move to Bon Accord centre. I've waited there four ages -stood up again :-)

Chris S

Smokey...
Thanks Chris, that's where I remember it :-)) We were both right.lol

Sorry you got stood up :-(( It was a draughty corner.

The Church of St Nicholas is over 800 years old and is in the heart of
Aberdeen.

Pingu...
if its the church that I think it is, Its one I used to frequent the grounds
of during my lunchbreaks when Jbexing in the city. Its got some very
interesting grave stones that make interesting reading. The store where I
was located in every 2 months was the next block up on Union street and I
would often take my brakes around the greenery of the Granite city.
