According to our local paper, Mike, there has been some sort of delay with
growing enough flu vaccine so they are likely to be a month late.
Suppose I might get sent for this year

Been wet and grey here all day with a chill to remind me that it is October.
Good afternoon one and all.

I was saddened to read of the Mums who had injured their hips. A full and
speedy recovery to them both, and to anyone else on the poorly list for
whatever reason.

Has anyone been able to book or get a flu jab yet? My surgery tells me it
is going to be at least another month before I can get mine and yet adverts
are being broadcast on TV to persuade us to have them done. Is this a case
of one hand not knowing what the other is doing?

My surgery were advertising the 'flu jab and telling you to make
appointments a few weeks ago. I've never had one before, being a spring
chicken who has only just arrived at the 65 barrier within the last year.
So I was wondering whether to get one or not. Especially since there is a
shortage, and let the more needy cases get there's first. What do you all

I think it is a good thing FN and you should have it if you are given the
choice !!
If it is your first one you will also be offered a Pneumonia one too;-)))

I was expecting rain this morning but it's quite dry at the moment.

morning Jan :) How old do you have to be then to have a flu jab? I've
been having them since the age of 60 - are you younger than that ?

I'm 61 Val. They usually specify over 65 unless you have a condition that
requires you to take it, or if you specifically request it. I don't get many
colds, thank goodness, so haven't bothered.

I thought it was 60 too but not sure !as for colds !it doesen't help them
it is for a particular strain of FLu;-)))

Morning Janet yes think we are going to have the same kind of weather,always
have a brolly handy ;-)))
Hoping my Grandson will be able to get my garden mowed before it gets
too far in or i can see me having to get a goat or a sheep ;-))))

All the lawns here are sodden Noreen. The Council mowed the lawn near me the
other day and took half the grass up, leaving large muddy areas that will
take a few months to re-grow.
I expect your Grandson will contribute to you getting a goat lol

its still dark here so i have no idea of what the day might be. Like
you Mike i wish all the poorlies more comfort and hope fixes come soon.
Flu jab is 16th Oct Mike and i booked it last Monday. :)

Morning Len ! we don't have a appointment for the jab, last time the surgery
was packed
but 2 nurses got going and we were out in no time at all, so i am not
bothered about the wait really !! can go this morning either.

Good morning Mike, dry here at the moment but heavy rain and wind is
forecast for later today.
I hope the Mums and the other poorly ones are o.k.

We can get our flu jabs from our Drs. from the next 4 Saturdays only,
you just arrive without making an appointment, that is from a notice at the
Doctors
and printed on our repeat prescriptions.

Morning Mike i am going this afternoon !!our surgery started on Tuesday,
seems a bit of a long wait for yours , i just rang up for my prescription
and asked
about it and she said to come tomorrow no appointment.
