Oh, Boo, it looks as good in the piccies as it does in R/L!
Thanks for sharing, it's brought out some happy memories of cuppas of
boo-tea:)
And that basket on the table really does fit in, doesn't it? Pity about the
hook!
For the rest of you, boo is not one for getting presents for, she says she's
had as much fun as us so that's a present in itself. But as her and I
entered the Pottery grounds we stopped to look at the plant shop while Ray
tended to Meg and she fell in love with that gorgeous pink flower and said
we would call in the flower shop as we came back to the car after our
pottery capers.
When Ray appeared we quietly discussed the subject out of boo's hearing and
he decided we would get that plant for her on our way out.
Fortunately boo went into the actual shop on the way out so we could get the
plant, which was hanging outside, without her knowing and she had no choice
over accepting it cos we were a long way from home and it would never
survive the journey!
It was an hour or two of careful planning to allow that plant to make its
home with the rest of those pretty flowers in boo's garden:))))

Ta, I suppose I had better go out and make sure all the numbered pieces of
gravel are in the right place

Loverly piccie Boo, I don't recognize the flower, similar to an hyacinth?
We had a dull heavy sort of day, but the blackbirds did sing!

I did not know there was more than one piccy Doh!! went back and looked at
them all, lovely flowers Boo.

That's not a garden ᧧, just pot plants in an open air conservatory. :)

LOL don't care what its called, its nice to sit in!

Your garden is really looking a treat Boo !! what ever it is called I
would be very happy to sit in it ;-) At the moment I am wearing Barbs
swing out and loving it .
Now that's ok till someone sneaks up and takes photos while I am resting
my eyes, now don't you think that's rather sneaky??;-))

Bootiful.
Lovely pictures and the decked area is looking really pretty

The pretty purple thingy ( the name of which I forget) on the table was a

Lovely Boo. Just like the one in our garden.
I don't know what it is either. Just a nice plant :-)
Tickettyboo...

I kept the label in the pot, so will try to remember to tell you tomorrow.
Tickettyboo...
|
Its called Pericallis 'Senetti'
andon...
|
Strange that you mentioned "Gertie".
My PA actually does name all the pot plants. If someone brings a new
one in to the office it is named within minutes of her arrival.
Strange lady. Probably why we jbex so well together :-)
Rabbit...
|
Nothing strange about that. I've got a garden full of named plants, they are
named after the people who either gave me the plant/cutting or who were
instrumental in my buying it :-)

Beat her to it next time! Call one 'Tickettyboo' LOL
On second thoughts, don't. Sounds like she is a very useful addition to
your life, don't want her to walk out muttering about loonies!
andon...

Taboo word with our clients
Tickettyboo...
|
oops! sowwy!
well, she could just mutter it under her breath as she walks in the
general direction of 'away'
andon...

Whoops! Erm!! "we prefer our clients to Drive away"
There. That was neatly done.

I do make an effort to keep labels, calling them 'all' Gertrude seems a
bit silly, even for me :-)
they are LOL, she's a clever clogs, she knows the proper names too>
|
|
pressie from the Gooses :-) Its gorgeous!
|
|
Was really lovely this morning so we postponed our trip into town and
enjoyed the sunshine at home instead. I loved it, sat and nattered to a
pal on the phone and the birdies were singing their hearts out for her as
well as me.
I also enjoyed listening to the sound of other people mowing their
grass...lol least I don't have to do that any more!
Troy's Human...

Looks good Boo. Seems you're really getting into you new hobby :-)
You're gonna need a bigger garden before too long ;-)
|
Tiddled it down this afternoon so we went shopping then instead :-)

That's some decking project! I'm wanting to put a decked area in my back
garden but the Mrs says I should get the damp wall problem in the front
bedroom sorted first. I think she thinks I'll just sit outside all summer

I waited a long time here to get it done. We were very lucky to have
someone recommended by a friend. Two guys did all the work from start to
finish. They weren't the quickest in the world, but they did a really good
job.
I was very pleasantly surprised at the cost, which included all the ground
work, materials, plants and labour. I had costed it ( at retail prices for
the materials) and their quote made it totally silly to attempt it
ourselves.
It was really good fun to come home each day to see what they had done,
all I did was provide a kettle and tea, coffee , butties and biccies :-)

drinking wine and beer...

ooh I wonder what would have given her that idea?

Your garden gets nicer each time you post some photos Boo. I can just
picture you sitting in the middle of all those lovely plants.
Tickettyboo...
|
I thought it would be fun to keep a sort of diary of it, just a few pics
each month. I am aiming for most of it to just do its own thing by next
year..well, if the plants survive that is. I have had to rope someone in
for watering duties when we go away - living next door to a pub helps
there, there's usually someone who will be passing at least once a day!
Mr Boo watered them for me last weekend cos I was away for a day or so,
but he was a bit overenthusiastic. My 'stick' ( wot eventually will be a
Japanese Maple) had to learn how to do front crawl LOL,

|
I've got an Acer 'stick' too :-))
Trouble is, it has gone and produced lovely red/bronze leaves despite
everything I've done to it.
Tickettyboo...
|
Pretty aren't they? Just don't ask to see ~~Linda's~~ LOL I was chuffed
with mine till I saw hers!
MCC...
|
I don't mind showing her mine!
To get some idea of scale, the greenery behind my 'stick' is an embryo
trailing lobelia.
Tickettyboo...
|
LOL that's me drummed out of the gardening club then! Yours is a giant
redwood, mine really is a stick :-) Mind you, its a stick wih promise ;-)
|
|
|
It was a free offer in a friend's gardening magazine - all I had to do was
pay postage and packing. I ordered it last October and promptly forgot all
about it until it was delivered at the beginning of March.
Tickettyboo...
|
was it more than my 50p? I like to have a bargain :-)
MCC...
|
Almost 8 times that! £3.99 postage and packing from the Channel Islands in
a fancy polystyrene box
|
|
I wish I had taken a photo of it then because it looked like something the
local rooks have been flying about with in their beaks just lately
No sign of life or growth. Nothing ventured - into a pot it went, gave it
some water now and again and now we have a mini-tree.
It's a stick no more :-))
Its Sunday name is Acer palmatum Atropurpureum - a stick by any other name!
Tickettyboo...
|
'Stick' is the name of mine, its way too small to have such a big name!
MCC...

I'm looking forward to the autumn to see what colours the leaves change to
- should be really attractive.

I've put off buying my bedding plants until I could get someone to water the
baskets, but now that's sorted I can get on and do them.
I have a new acer in my garden too and in due course you might see my photos
on here:))

The piccies are beautiful. What lovely flowers!
I wouldn't mind having a deck full of plants like that.
The other day I bought a beautiful potted geranium...
my first plant purchase of the spring. It will go out on
the deck as soon as frost warnings are over.
Tickettyboo...
|
Geraniums ( or pelagorniums) are very popular on houses in France, they
have them cascading down window boxes and always look beautiful.
~~seadancer~~...
|
Thanks for the new word, Boo.
The reasons I like geraniums (esp. red ones) are:
1. The flowers are big and bright.
(You get a lot for your money.) (g)
2. They can go a long time without watering. (g)
I read somewhere that they like a good soaking and
then they like to dry out. My kind of flower! (lol)
Of course, they like the sunshine and do best when they
get a lot of sun. Mine will bloom all winter in a sunny window.

Same in Germany last year Boo I loved it all the houses seemed to have
pots of
Geraniums every window sill. We really enjoyed them ;-))
