Does anybody use CC Cleaner to clear out their registry? I just
wondered whether it was safe to use?
I use Norton and RegScrub and they are harmless.

Yep, I use it. Rally clears out loads muck. Just be careful what you tick
for it to do, as it doesn't make a back-up.

So us numpties had better leave well alone then.
As an after thought. I seem to recollect that when I used CCleaner to look
for *issues* in the dim and distant past it asked me if I wanted a back-up
and I saved them into My Docs. Doesn't it do that any more?

Yes, it will save all the things it deletes and all the issues wherever you
want - or not if you tell it not to.

Is there anything specifically that it's best not to tick ?
I haven't used it since my Pooter was rebooting, just in case CC Cleaner was
cleaning something it shouldn't after I updated it !

Another freeware program is EasyCleaner. I have not used it to clean
out the registry yet. Anybody else out there use it?
