Road Rage

We turned right at traffic lights today into 2 lane road which then had an
arrow to get in to single lane, two cars in front Rover righthand side Ford
left side
each trying to beat the other, they ran along almost touching then the Rover
pulled in and the Ford pulled in behind and they got out and started
fighting, who had the `right of way` ??? could have been one very nasty

From the (limited) amount of Information, I would have thought that
it was the car on the *left* hand Side of the Road (the Ford) who
would have had the right of way?
The other car, on the Right - the outside, (the Rover) was
"Overtaking" & should have dropped back.

But it would have been polite (& no skin off his nose) if the Ford
(the one on the Left) had just dropped back a bit & let the other
car in. - there's no point in trying to "race" another car who is
alongside, when there's a narrowing of the road ahead.

I hope you made sure to drop *well* back, when you saw what was going
on ahead?!

Cos if they *had* collided, everybody behind would have been in big
trouble.

In situations like that, it's always best if people aren't so
aggressive.

What's the harm in letting someone go in front?
Does it really cause the whole journey to take that much longer?

We did keep well back pmj especially as there was a lady on a bicycle in
front of us too.
I just don't know why people are so aggressive and impatient these days!.
