Internet Explorer 7 Beta

I downloaded and installed this program last night.
This morning I found that neither my PC clock correcting program nor my
Weather Watcher program could connect to the Internet to update themselves.
Fortunately I had made a System Restore point immediately prior to
installing IE7. As soon as I had gone back to that the programs worked
normally.
It may not have been IE7 that caused the problem but it seems highly
suspicious to me ;-)

I take my hat off to you guys for trying IE7 beta. There are pioneers
and followers and when it comes to Microsoft software I'm definitely a
follower - a long way behind.

I am enjoying discovering and using this latest Beta and so far have not
found anything to complain about - still early days tho

I'm pleased that there are people who will do this. But even some of
their so called critical updates in the past have had major consequences
for those at the leading edge.

I'm using a Microsoft recommended product called Maxthon at the moment
and it is an overlay to IE but has lots of additions. It is considerably
faster and more configurable than IE6 which is looking a little tired
now. It seems very stable so far I've been using it since 16th Jan.

Maxthon is really excellent I agree and I've been using it for a long time
now. It happily runs alongside the beta 1 of IE7 on my machine and should
be fine with beta 2.

Hi Mike - I spotted that as soon as it was posted. Only the last four
lines were scanned for %datetime%. I've changed that to 5, so now it
should work.

Make a Shorter Link is timing out at the moment but I can't blame you for
that :-)

Seems to be working OK now. They are in fact links to web-search and how one
of my websites ranks when certain keywords are used. In one of them I'm
top out of over 16 million:-)

I'll go for IE7 about 6 months after its official launch.

Weather Watcher has updated no problem here this morning with IE7
installed.
