Using a Freeview digi box is it possible to subscribe to 'undesirable'
channels using your telephone account to pay please?
John the R-T...

Well, I can't see any Pay per View channels on
be mistaken.
She told me that getting home late last night her partner was watching
a pron site.

Interesting, isn't it, that the Freeview website makes no mention of
'Television X'. Is this denial or could they simply not decide whether
it should be listed under 'entertainment' or 'lifestyle'? :)
John the R-T...
|
I suppose that as it's a PpV channel it's not Freeview.

Yeah, yeah I believe you, it's always *a friend* who gets the blame ;-)

Yep, cos I aint got that channel on my Freeview DVB-T. I'm in a very
poor Freeview reception area.
Michaelangelo...

You mean you 'barely' get any channels?
John the R-T...
|
That's the 'naked' truth.

My Freeview channel listing includes 'Television X' which is an adul
channel which can be subscribed to or paid for on a day by day basis.
More info here in the section headed Digital TV Customers' (some people
may find this page offensive):

Thanks. Nothing like that on my Freecom DVB-T. Wonder why Freeview
don't have that channel listed.

Perhaps you don't have a strong enough signal?
It's listed on my box.

I've got it on my Freeview channel list.

There are quite a few subscription channels on Freeview boxes. From what
I've seen of a few of them, you are meant to phone a number, with credit
card detail of course, and a four figure code is given. On the channel in
question there will be a box where this can be entered.
My guess is your reception is too poor to get all the many channels on
Freeview now.

You need a "Top-Up TV" compatible box. It takes a smart card and you have
to pay for subscriptions.

Thank you. She only has a standard Freeview box.
