When (on the very odd occasion) my Mum watches a war film I can see her
cringing when the siren sounds

Thats right! when it did i think i was waiting for the bang :( but what
was so strange was that it grabbed the whole of my attention so that
even now i just could not tell you what made that noise. Perhaps its the
first signs eh? :)

as i said Jackie i was on here and it was so real to me that i thought
it *was* a doodle bug so what made it i have no idea.

I remember the sound of the doodle bugs overhead Len - very scary it was
too :( Where were you today then to hear such a noise ?

Sat right here Val! but it was such a vivid memory i cant tell you if
the noise was a car, aircraft, motorbike or what i was really there for
a minute and yes it was a bit scary. :(
