John in Cornwall...
Well after being in pain for a long time- and putting it off -a and making
excuses not to go to the Doctors:
I fanally got my exray results which shows that I have got "moderatly
advanced osteoathritis" in my right hip.
I got pain in my right inner thigh and groin - Doc reckons its called
"referred pain" where the cause and spot where it hurts are different.
I got diclofenic to bring down the inflamation and Tramadol for the pain.
Doc reckons that in a few years time I shall need a replacement hip.
I found a doctor with a bit of a sense of humour... when I asked him what
caused this pain he replied: "It's your age" - I came back at him with :
"But the other hip is tha same age, and it's fine" he laughed ... which is
unusual for a doc....

andon...
yer. Doctors are such misery-guts aren't they.

Anybody else got hip joint problems ? would be good to swop notes ans stuff
....
John

Anita...
John Ron had a hip replacement last year, and the pains you are talking
about are the ones he got too - hope that it eases for you with the
tablets :)

John in Cornwall...
Thanks Anita
Certainly put my mind at rest anyway...
