The drought and hosepipe bans !!

We have nine (9) water butts. They are all full to overflowing. We are not
facing a water shortage in this part of the country - reservoirs full etc.

Noticed the female human saving washing up water to a container in the
garden this afternoon. Asked her why she was doing it. "Because on the TV
gardening programme last night they said we had to do it because of the
drought and the hosepipe bans".

I despair !!! - I understand that places away from the South East of the UK
don't actually exist (especially to the media) but this is getting really

Totally silly, next time get the female human to bung the bowl in the car
and drive down to the SE and put it in one of their reserviors.

We have got it officially !! we will have no shortage of water ! the Water
Board
have put millions in so it will never happen again . Apparantley if there
was a drought
there are underground pipes that can pipe more water from other reservours
in the Yorkshire area ;-))))

LOL I love it, I now have a vision of an underwater roadside cafe with
lorry drivers swimming up for a bacon butty!

My vision was of a giant standpipe with an oversized garden tap, with a
queue of water tankers waiting to fill up.

The layby was a convenient place to tap into the watermain from Keilder
Water to Teesside.
