If I wish to update my biog and possibly include a small face-photo, what

pmj...
I think you would prolly be best off sending it (the updated Bigraphy
& a Pic) to the Address on the ukpeoplesilversurfers.co.uk Biog Pages?

must I do?? Does the photo need to be passport size?? Ta for any help.

How do you define "passport size"?
& especially, how would you define that in a *digital* Picture?
:-)

The Actual Printed Size of a Picture can be pretty much what ever
the person printing it out wants. - It all depends on the number
of DPI (Dots Per Inch) that the thing is Printed at.
& one Pixel (in the Picture) needn't necessarily correspond to one
Dot on the Printed Page. & don't forget that the "Biog" Pics are
expected to be seen on a *Web* Page anyway & aren't necessarily
going to be Printed out, so the concept or idea of "passport size"
for them doesn't really apply.

For a Pic in a Biography, normally, perhaps people would expect
just a "Portrait" type Pic (just the Head & (possibly?) Shoulders),
but there's no real reason why you can't use a complete Picture.
So a passport "type" (or "style") Pic might be an idea, but it's not
"passport *size*", when it's for the Web

It's prolly best to make sure that the Picture is no more than about
600 (or so) Pixels in Size (Height) - if the Pic is going to be on
a Web Page - but it can be ReSized by the person putting it on the
Web Page, you wouldn't necessarily have to do that, if you didn't
want to, or weren't sure how to. (though there are plenty of people
in here who can help you with that sort of thing & knowing how to
(& being able to) do the basic sort of stuff with Pics, such as
Cropping & ReSizing is always a good idea & a useful thing to know
about, so it would definitely be worthwhile to do that for yourself,
before Sending the Pic.

Now that you know how to get Pics up on the Web, you can try Cropping
&/or ReSizing one as a sample & people can look at it & help you with
various suggestions on how to do it.

Send an email to here biogs[at]ukpeoplesilversurfers[dot]co[dot]uk
replace the bits in brackets with @ and .
JRT and that nice Mr Art will get it and will update your biog for you. If
you want, I am sure they will resize any pic you send to suit - they are
clever folk :-), but the pic can be whatever you want it to be, its your
biog!
