GoogleEarth 4.02416 Beta is now available.

Um!! Just tried to open mine to see what version it was, but it won't get
past the initialisation stage. Get error message:

'web-search Earth has encountered a problemand needs to close. We are sorry for
any inconvenience.'

Does this imply it's them and not me?

I actually updated it yesterday and it was w*rking fine then. As it's a
Beta is that likely to be the cause of the hiccup?

I hadn't checked (for a while) to see if there was a new Version
of web-search Earth.

Gareth...
I think I prefer to use this...

But surely, that's the M$N (Virtual Earth) equivalent of web-search *Maps*
(the WebSite) & not web-search Earth (the Application) ?

But if you like the M$N Virtual Earth (now Renamed "Live Local") Maps,
(& some of them, in some areas, are higher Resolution than the web-search
ones, but they are generally older), try this...

That uses Info from *both* web-search & M$N Virtual Earth (& also from
some other sources as well) - you can Select which to use.

Gareth...
No! Using the FlashEarth web site only shows a combination of aerial
views and even they are not high quality. The LocalLive shows a much
clearer aerial view (of my area) but also has "birds-eye" 2D and 3D
options too. I can view my house from N, S, E or W and at an angle of
45 degrees. I can't do that using FlashEarth.

Gareth...
Well it is a Micro$oft toy. ;-)
