It has been and still is a lovely day here - mild, blue skies and
sunshine.
It even got me in the mood to do some housew**k - vacuumed right through
the house and even managed to flick around a duster here and there.
Hope FN is still having a good birthday - it certainly sounded as if he
is from his posts.
Have a good day :)

Hi Anita,
We have sunshine here right now.
Today I'm going to our Senior Citizens Center.
I'm learning to play pinochle.
I haven't quite learned it yet, but a nice lady is
teaching me. All of the 4 ladies in the pinochle group
are well into their 80s. One is nearing 90 years old.
And the are all as sharp as tacks.
Wonderful to see! Maybe playing cards is good for the brain. (g)
I don't know when I'll get to my housework.
I'm sure it will be there when I get to it. :)

Hello, Sea,
Yes, playing cards is good for the brain - makes you use it to think :)
I have never heard of the game Pinochle before, but after paying a visit
to the web and reading about it - sounds very interesting.
Have a good afternoon - hope you win :)

I didn't win but it was fun anyway. The ladies are teaching
me how to play and that's worth more than winning.
One of the hard things to remember while playing Pinochle
is that the 10 ranks higher than the king, queen and jack.
The only card higher than a 10 is the Ace.
I can't seem to get used to that.
