Britain's most powerful super-fast computer, at a mere £52m
Anita...
|
Bit large to have in your lounge or spare bedroom :)

Frederick Williams...

The text reads
"The new supercomputer could run at speeds of up to 100 teraflops and
will be able to carry out up to 100 trillion calculations every second,
..."
A flop is a floating point operation, I wonder what a calculation is.

Frederick Williams...

If Microsoft wrote an operating system for it, it would grind to a halt
in no time.
|
Do you think it will fit in my front room?
sam...

Garbage in - garbage out!
BTW how good is the weather forecast with you?

|
I don't know Sam. Since they developed the
sea sick inducing map I have ignored BBC Weather.
I tend to just ask someone to get me an update
or look on Yahoo.

I'll just have the money to pay the eleccy bill for running it :-)
BTW is the m/c that has wrecked the weather maps?
