Tickettyboo...
For the good wishes and cards for my birthday. I have had a smashing day,
started at midnight when I was tearing into a parcel which had arrived and
been intriguing me for days!

We have spent most of the day in Dovedale. We are so lucky round here, so
many places to go and visit and the countryside is beautiful.
Piccies here if you would like to peek

Foxy at w*rk...
Wnjoyd the walk Ta Boo

Aries...
Such an interesting place to visit, you are fortunate to have such lovely
countryside around you Boo but I guess you already know that :)

Rabbit...
Looks a lovely place, enjoyed that walk (though I had to web-search to learn
where it is :-)) Nice piccies and I see you did get quackers on your
birthday :-)

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Thanks for those ᧧. I haven't been there for more than 10 years - doesn't
appear to have changed too much though. :)

Bram...
I love Dovedale. Parked the car at Ilam did you..?

Tickettyboo...
No, we parked at Thorpe and walked up to Milldale along the riverbank and
then back again

You didn't walk all the way up to Hartington and Isaac Walton's favorite

Tickettyboo...
Hey I am knocking on a bit now, cut me some slack!

bridge I notice.

Ali...
Lovely as always.

PS. Isn't dubh *celtic* for black?

Tickettyboo...
Dunno, if its wrong, blame the guy whose site I searched the web for the info from :-)
I got nosey, cos they seemed awful big holes for a dove cote - wouldn't
want one that size flying overhead!

Smokey...
Lovely are Boo, thank you for the piccies. BTW...............you never told
us what was in the mystery parcel :-))

Tickettyboo...
It was a lot of packaging keeping a lovely piece of crystal safe :-)

Smokey...
Aww how nice :-))) Thought for a minute you had a new camera !!

biffo...
Good on you Boo thanks, it looks a lovely area you visited there, strange
looking rocks though !! but good camera work all the same ;-))

Jackie...
Glad you had an enjoyable day Boo, I love the pictures, very interesting. I
do believe we went to Dovedale quite a few years ago on holiday,
that is when we walked and climbed quite alot.

Tickettyboo...
Not far away from us, it was rather busy though, be better in the autumn
again

noreen...
You do have some lovely places Boo the piccs are really nice, can't say

Tickettyboo...
Yes and with a couple of exceptions, the people who were also there were

BunnyHare...
You always get the odd one or two.

I would have been like you with the children, would have had to say
something. Some parents just don't see the dangers, do they? I know
children have to explore and have a bit of adventure but the parents
should still be aware of any dangers

Sue...
It makes you wonder how some kids ever manage to survive at all. One of
my pet hates is unconcerned parents who let their tiny tots run along
unrestrained on the outside of narrow pavements, inches from passing
traffic. I'm always terrified the sprogs are going to dash out under my
wheels!

nice and friendly. The exceptions being the young girl who whinged at
Milldale while we were sat on the riverbank having a well deserved
cuppa..she was most put out cos there hadn't been any gift shops along the
river walk LOL. Oh and the very well spoken family who were not
supervising their two young children ( about 6 or 7 years old). The
children weren't doing any harm but they were climbing and possibly in
danger at one point. In the end I couldn't stand it any longer and I went
over and told them to come down from the rock cos it was a very sheer drop
on the other side. They did as I asked no bother, but the parents just
looked bemused.

which I like best ;-)))
