VW Golf

Anyone in the group drive a WV Golf ?
I been looking at the new TDI - Diesel - and looking for an opinion.
Anyone got one ?

I've had four Golfs starting with model 2.
One 1.8 auto petrol. 25 mpg.
Two 1.6s 40 mpg.
One 1.9 SDI. Over 50 mpg.
Great cars. Comfortable even though the suspension is a little stiff.

Yes - we have a 1.9Tdi 5 door - superb car - average 45mpg. On a long run on
motorways getting low 50's.

I went to the dealer to-day and drove one. It was the 170bhp 2ltr TDI...
At first it frightened the life out of me - the accelleration was terrific,
especially after my Landrover Freelander.
I also drove the 2ltr 140bhp Golf sport and although it was fast - it was
noticably slower in accelleration after the 170bhp.
Tomorrow I am going to drive the Golf GTi and at 200bhp I am wondering what

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...

A rather large insurance premium I would think. :( l
