to warm the cockles of your hearts

My sister (older than me) has Altzhiemers and is in a Care Home about
10 miles from Mum (this is in Cornwall BTW) Mum is 99 and goes to visit
Sis about evry Month.
When it was mums birthday last June 2 care workers took my Sis as a
surprise visit to Mum which i thought was *so* nice.
This morning i had a "Just To Say" card and it read :-

Your Sis certainly appears to be in a good Care home Len. How very kind of
them to take her to visit your Mum on her birthday.
Best wishes to your Mum, Doreen, You & Meg.

Yes it was lovely of them and so good to hear that they took that extra
caring step beyond * Jobsworth*

Dear Len
Hope that you are feeling better, your Mum tells us that you havnt been
very well.
You probably heard from your mum that we took Doreen ~(Sis) to visit
her on her birthday as a surprise, I have sent a Photo so you can see
that they both had a lovely time. Doreen was all smiles and appeared to
have enjoyed her trip out.
Doreen is very well and Jolly, she has enjoyed walks in the garden in
the good weather we have had.
We have all been thinking of you and wishing you well

i wanted to share that with you as we nearly always dont hear nice
things of Care Homes

Well, now, isn't that a lovely happening?
We seldom hear nice things about care homes but that home deserves all the
praise it can get. They're looking after a family, including you, aren't
they?
