Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
This is the first year for ages that he hasn't asked to go out and watch the
f*rew*rks. He's been curled up fast asleep on the settee since 17-30 and
not batted an eyelid or twitched an ear. He usually sits outside on the
front steps watching and listening to all the flashes and bangs. Not so

Jackie...
No fireworks around here FN, nice and quiet !

Jeff Gaines...
My mutt has wedged himself into the gap between the bed and the bedside
cupboard with his face pushed against the wall. He's trembling all over.

I can't do anything for him - the behaviourist said he had to be left to
sort things out for himself when he was frightened of anything. They've
been going on for over an hour, hopefully they'll run out soon.

Michaelangelo...
Yes but, while I agree that your frightened behaviourist should be left
to sort things out for himself, I do think you should be comforting the
dog! :)

Jeff Gaines...
!!!!
He was pretty good, he managed to train me pretty thoroughly under the
pretence of training the dog :-)

He's a rescue dog and appears to have been pretty badly treated in the
past (he still has scars on his neck from being tied up with wire). He's
not used to being petted even after 4 years - when I pick him up to put
him in the car he still hunkers down in a ball to protect himself - and
I've been doing it virtually every day for the whole 4 years! If I try to
pull him towards me on the settee he pulls away - but if I leave him alone
he comes over and puts his head on my lap.

Trying to comfort him when he's frightened just reinforces his fright,
even though it's a natural instinct in a human. Anyway I took him out for
a walk around 11:15 and he's settled in his cardboard kennel asleep now.
Let's hope that's it for another year.

Gizmo's in his normal sleep mode position, with very shallow breathing.

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Awake now. He's just come up to the computer room, jumped up on the desk,
asked to go on the window sill, so I pulled up the venetian blind and he is
now sitting there watching the f*rew*rks. :)

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
He went out an hour ago and is still sitting upright on the front path
listening to constant bangs and watching all the colours flashes in the sky.
What a brave cat - I've just opened the door to let him in. Not a chance,
he's enjoying it out there. :)

jackie...
Having a night out at the outdoor cinema!!

Foxy at home...
Just as long as he's in no danger from naughty boys :-(

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
None around Jen. The roads very quiet, but as we are ½ way up a hill
there's agreat view over the city so we can see loads of firew*rks. Lots
of loud bangs too, but not as loud as the ones that used to make the house
vibrate a couple of years ago. Anyhow the noise died down about ¼ hour ago,
so he came in had supper and is now stretched out on the rug fast asleep in

And again this evening. He's just tea and is now out on the steps watching
this evening's show starting up. :)

his usual pose.
