My Mum is not very good. I think her fall last week has really knocked her
for six. So after a lot of discussions tonight, I am going over tomorrow to
bring her back to stay with me. She thinks she is coming for a holiday, but
I think she will be here for good. Sons are hiring a van to bring over her
tippy chair and bed. We are turning the dining room into a bedroom. If we
think she will be here permanently, then we will get a stair lift in. So
will be busy for the next few days. But now I feel less worried, i have had
very little sleep with thinking what to do best.

Sorry to hear that news Shaz but when she gets with the loving family that
you all obviously are things should improve.
I know it's hard, and easy for me to say but try not to worry or lose to
much
sleep, you will end up making yourself ill, then you won't be any help to
your mum.
Show her the posts she is getting in here, that should cheer her up.
All my thoughts and best wishes are with her.

I hope I am doing what is best Bram. A lot of sorting out to do, bit scared
about it all really. But have hubby's support and my 2 sons think it best.

Sorry to hear that Mum isn't so good Shaz but sounds as if you have sorted
things satisfactorily.
Wish Mum would move here or at least come for a week or two but she won't
leave Lincolnshire :-((

Sorry to hear that Shaz. You'll have her near you, which will be good for
you both. It sounds like you have supportive sons, which will make a
difference.
But look after you too, and try not to overdo it.

Thanks Splodge. D in L worked in Homes before she had the children so she
has said she will help me with lifting etc. So hopefully we have made the
right decision.

I'm sorry to read about your Mum Shaz. Hopefully a change of surroundings
and plenty of company will make her feel better. You will also feel better
as you will know that she is being looked after properly. What a good
daughter you are! :-)
I wonder how long it will be before she wants to go 'home'?

Doesn't sound too good Shaz. But who knows, when she gets in familiar
surroundings with people who love her she may improve greatly. All the best
and wish her well from us all in UPS.

Thanks FN. I am sure she has not been eating properly. And if I can get her
out in the fresh air I am sure she will improve. She is terrified of going
in a home, so I could not do that to her.
