Had to re-install
Been on the phone most of the day either with HP Help Desk or Sage (my
wages package)
Managed to get things up and w*rking again but no internet connection as yet

Yes we hope to. Our house is under offer again and we may have to move out
and rent somewhere if we don't want to lose our buyers. It's being so
difficult finding somewhere to suit us near to our daughter and the prices
in that particular area are going thro the roof - phew!

What are the chances that you could build new on your relative's farm land?
I know someone who did that on a farm at Blackawton near Dartmouth in the
early 1970s.

no chance whatsoever. This is North Devon and very strict on planning. It
has taken almost 18 months to get planning permission for an Agricultural
tied house for my daughter and SIL and that may not even be built this
year! They are having to be so patient crammed into the farm's wee
holiday cottage with hardly enough room in it to swing a cat!

If you mean the one we were in the process of buying before C+++++++s then
yes, but we've found another one we like a lot but our offer has not been
accepted. We may go up a little bit but there are other complications I do
not feel like going into tonight, just to say I am feeling very fed up and
disappointed as you can probably imagine
