Mixer just mixes/blends
Processor comes with more settings and attachments

You're a food processor. You shove it in one end, your body does stuff
with it and eventually shoves it out the other end.
A food mixer just mixes it up a bit. It's another name for a Chef. Or
Cook since we're English.

Apart from one being more expensive than the other - an awful lot

I think a processor does quite a few different things, like mincing,
chopping, slicing whereas a food mixer is mainly for making cakes
and pastry!!
