Photo of Krys (Bagpuss)

I had hoped to find a photo of Bagpuss in the archives of the Orkney local
paper - I know she appeared in it while doing some 'donkey work' because I
sent the cutting to her. Sadly I couldn't find anything in the archives.
I searched the web for and found one though! Whether this is 'our' Krys only those who
had the good fortune to meet her will be able to confirm.

Krys/Bagpuss (like many of us, for various reasons) was distinctly camera
shy, so whilst I and no doubt a few others may have photo's, I would
respect her wishes and not show them publicly.

No Mike, not at all. Maybe I didn't word that very well. I meant, *I* (and
others) have photo's taken on various trips and visits but wouldn't put
*those* on the web.

I had no idea that she was camera-shy and as those photographs have been on
the web for four years I didn't think there would be any harm in providing
a link to them.

That's what I meant... I'm pretty sure they've been shown before. I
hesitate to appear to 'give permission', it's not mine to give but I'm
fairly confident that Krys wouldn't have minded at all.

Please, don't think I was telling you off at all!! I know people like to
have a 'visual' to identify someone, along with their memories.

If I have offended anyone I apologise.

However, both of those are indeed of Krys and Bill and I think have been
mentioned before with her knowledge, so I see no harm in acknowledging them
now. I remember discussing it with her and whilst she found a lot of the
hanging around on that trip distinctly boring, the 'wildlife' and scenery
certainly made the time more enjoyable for her :-)

a load of mathematicians :-)

Yes, that is typical Bagpuss. I think she had a magnetic attraction
for animals. She loved them and they knew it and loved her in return

husband
