Yep, IMHO Sony just hasn't the dependability/ reliability which the name
used to imply. Last year I bought a Sony VCR and it had to be repaired
within weeks.

I too, remember the good old days. ( Wallows in nostalgia )

But, my 1990 Sony separates HiFi still performs as promised, so it's
not up for replacement yet. Still need a "deck" to play those 12"
