i like to use those calendars that are long and narrow with a day per
line and a month per page.
I should be able to do this as i have a printer that will print from a
roll of paper and so would get the length but i wouldnt want to print a
load.
But, where could i find such a template?

Which program are you using, Len?
There are loads of templates for Microsoft Word and Excel available -

perhasp publisher or word or whatever i need but i can find lots of
templates to fit A4 Landscape or Portrait but the size i am used to are
about 6 in wide x about 14 and its that sort of size i cant find. I
looked through word temps. but all seem to be A4.

Perhaps you could adapt an A3 template to suit? I've been looking around
for templates to use with PagePlus 11 and all I can find are standard paper
sizes A4, A3 or American letter or legal sizes.
You'll just have to design your own :-)

LOL 30 days hath .......... ;-) what day is the 1st Jan on? LOL
pmj...

Depends what year!!!
:-)
Try this - (bung it in the AddressBar of your Web Browser - all on
one Line, no LineBreaks)...
javascript:d=document.write(new%20Date(prompt('Date(dd/mm/yyyy)?','1/1/2007')));
It shows a Prompt, asking for a Date to be Entered (with a Date
already Filled in) - just accept the Date, or OverWrite the Date
with one you want (using dd/mm/yyyy (or d/m/yyyy) Format) & it shows
the Output like this...
Mon Jan 1 00:00:00 UTC 2007
(that's for 1/1/2007)
:-)
I actually use a"Template" that I have Written & Saved as an *HTML*
File (Web Page), which uses JScript to Calculate & Display the Dates
& Write them into the Cells of a Table on (across/down) the Page...
I just Open the Page in my Web Browser & it shows the Months, Weeks
& Days of the Year, in whatever Format (Layout) I want.
I have it Set, at the mo, (for my Parents to use, to suit their
purposes) to Display one Week Per Page in a sort of "Tabular" Layout...

It's relatively easy to alter it to show a Month Per Page (&/or to
fit whatever Size/Length of Paper is wanted) & with or without extra
Columns etc.
Maybe you could do something like that?

Monday so my calendar tells me.
That's Jan 2007:)

Yes, I thought you were, Len:)
It was just that I went to look and when I saw it was a Monday I really did
want to share. It isn't often we get it on a Monday, is it?
I have to admit I would use Excel for the calendar. It's so easy to pull
those cell borders to any shape you want. I like Excel for doing things like

Yep, SpreadSheets can be used for all sorts of useful things
(not just Columns of Financial type figures!) can't they?

that.

...and if you want to go the excel route have a look here
pmj...

Great!
Thanks for that!
JoeH...
That looks to be quite an interesting & useful Site.
:-)
JoeH...
|
It is, I've used a few things from it in the past - no problems.
|
Trouble is, there's *loads* of Sites like that around & it's difficult
to keep up with them all, or to know which ones to rely on.
JoeH...
|
True, true, but I'd rather have too many than not enough. ;-)
Rabbit...

Could you narrow that down a bit or shall I just make up my own subjects ???
:-)
JoeH...
|
"Make up you own subjects"? Who made Sandra Queen then? LOL
Rabbit...

You're changing the subject ;-)

It's a two column spreadsheet.
Column A formatted as a date, starting in row 2, with each line but the
first = cell_above +1
Column B blank
borders formatted to give your desired ruling.
Cell B1 =A2, formatted as date, month only, large font.
Enter 1/n/2007 in cell A2 (with n ranging over 1 ..12), and clear excess
rows in short months.
