Well Mum seems to have settled well here, and seems much happier. She needs

.That's good. Hopefully they will be able to offer advice and the necessary
equipment to make your and your mum's life easier

on her.

I am sure it is tiring and you must remember to save a bit of time for
yourself too.
As you say, you will be happier being able to keep an eye on her

so much help to get up from her chair and in and out of bed. I just wished
she had told me earlier how bad she was. My d in l comes every night to help
me to put her to bed. I can manage during the day, but Mum is so so weary at
night that she has no strength left. She is sleeping well, but not eating a
lot, well very little really. Social services are coming tomorrow to see

Will take a while to build up her strength and appetite again Shaz, being
with you where she feels safe and loved will help enormously to build her
strength and her confidence again.
It will be hard going for a while, make sure you don't overdo things and
take as much help as you can from Social Services -its what they are there
for and they can provide all sorts of aids which will help. Don't forget
to take care of yourself too and remember you will be able to help your
Mum more if you stay well and have some 'me' time too :-)

Make sure you accept everything social services can offer and fight for
those they don't offer.

I'm glad your Mum is a lot happier Shaz. It must be great for you both to be
together. Are you still able to get out and about, or does she need your
constant attention?

..an audience of one..well, ok two I had to get some sympathy from Mr
Boo!

I am glad you are coping with Mum Shaz, I am sure you are both much happier
with you caring and knowing how she is. My SiL had not been eating very well
and the Dr prescribed some sort of food which she just had to drink (I
believe) which was full of vitamins to build her-up. She soon improved.
