aww! and aint love grand? Bit of a mixed marriage if ever you get her
parent's permission and I have no doubt that once the honeymoon is over
she will turn into something even more beautiful.
You've got odd taste in wimmin ned, but long as you are happy , that's
what counts!

The size of the closet might not be too big but heck man

Great pic. You must have very steady hands.

ned...
If only! :-)
I'm beginning to get hand tremors and find I have to carry a 'big
stick' to brace the camera against. But the big advantage of digital
is that you can take six shots and delete the five blurred ones. :-))

You can get one of these walking pole thingies where the handle unscrews to
reveal a camera tripod type screw - very useful, especially as the pole is
telescopic.
Or just use a monopod, but they're not usually robust enough to be used as

ned...
Here, lad. You think I'm made o' money? :-)
The big stick works fine. I can grasp it and the camera at any
height - sometimes I'm fiddling down at ground level and sometimes 7ft
up in the Hawthorn hedge. It's simple (like me) and quick (like I used
to be). :-))
It's nowhere near as steady as a tripod but my subjects rarely hang
around for composed shots.
I'm smiling to myself here, having just spent ten minutes wobbling
about on a chair trying to photograph a moth going walkabouts on the
ceiling.

a walking pole ;-)

MCC...
I reckon that's the caterpillar of a Puss Moth but I could be wrong because
that one doesn't have the red tail whips that the Puss Moth caterpillar
uses to warn off potential predators.

Am I right, Ned?

ned...
I'm not telling. :-)
There are three very similar caterpillars, Puss moth, Sallow Kitten, &
Poplar Kitten.
I'm thinking it is probably the Sallow Kitten. That I've seen in the
garden. The others, not.
Interesting thing about the whip tails is that they are extendable and
its only when they are flicked forward like quivering scorpion tails
that they show bright red. And the number of times I have cursed the
shutter lag when I've tried to catch it!!! :-)
