My cousin in Shetland sent me these photos this morning of a garden visitor

She lives very near a sea loch, which perhaps explains a lot.

Yes I've had them in my garden too MCC. That's one thing about snow you see

all sorts of animal tracks to make you aware of the wonder of nature. As you
know Otters have made a remarkable recovery and are to be seen regularly up
here now. Those photographs are superb probably some of the best I've seen.

My favourite animal.
As a youngster I used to visit the Edinburgh Zoo and spend the whole
day by the otter pool whistling to the inmates.

I loved the photos too, and being a fan of the writings of Gavin Maxwell,
