Help. please. How do I...

check to see my computer's speed. It seem to be slower every day. Need
comp. for lot of things. Haven't time to *study*it just now. Any quick
help be much appreciated.Been on Broadband for past 18 months. It's slow to
load my homepage, everything else.

You need to think about what is it thats really slow: The broadband
connection or everything yuo do on the computer.
If it seems to be only when your trying to surf and load pages the chances
are its the broadband going slow. You can check broadband speed here:
register first but its free.

If however you mean everything you do on the pc is slow ie programs slow to
load and run then you may have spyware or adware running in the background
(it gets loaded onto the pc without you knowing when your surfing).
If it seems to be the whole pc download adaware and run that and see what it
detects.

As linkuk says it depends if it's your whole pooter that is slow, say
opening a notepad/Word document or if it's just when you are on the
Internet. If it's the latter you can check your speed at
former post back for techie advice
