Photoshop mosaics

An example of the 'stuff' we were doing in Photoshop last week at the
college of knowledge can be seen at

We were given the original on the left and had to make a mosaic with the
photo, but leave the underlying photo untouched. Good fun :-)

A bit OT but why is your x-face not as good in this post as some I've
seen???

If you mean 'as some (of my x-faces) [you've] seen' - no idea, I've not
changed it for ages.

If you mean compared to other peoples, I started with a full colour photo,
converted to greyscale, then to B&W, then resized to 48 pixels square, other
people appear to have started with line-art.

Mine's taken from the SiSu York meet 2004 group photograph. I also
then went to greyscale, then B&W then 48 x 48.
