Fussy birds

Our rustic bird table was falling apart, so hubby Jack made a posh new one,
painted the roof part green and the tray where they eat white. it matches
the house perfectly, but the birds don't like it and refuse to eat off it !
so he is going to try painting it brown now, not sure if it's the colour
they don't like or whether they are slipping on the glossy paint surface LOL

My neighbour had that problem with a new bird feeder. It was white and they
ignored it completely until she stained it brown.

Maybe you should leave them a shade chart and they can pick their own
colour scheme? :-)
