I see that when Des Lynam finishes he will be replaced by Des O'Connor.
At 74 he's one of us ! Good Old Des ! Pity the viewers were not consulted, though.We could have a popular short list drawn up each candidate a week at a time, and those nice judges from Strictly Come Dancing doing their stuff with dear old Brucie,ubitiquous, ineluctable Brucie in Dictionary Corner complete with whistle, and we could send in a block vote from UKPSS. |Hmm, yes, I like it.
