can someone remind me ..

How do I restore from a hidden partition - in other words I have no
separate installation disk with my Dell pc - but it's not clear how I do
this ?

You will need to turn off and restart the PC while pressing a button. What
that button is varies depending on the manufacturer. On my Toshiba it's
'0' (zero) on the IBM it's a separate 'Access IBM' button.

If you can't find the manual it could be trial and error :-))

no disks but I have found how to do it now - ctrl+F11 - so in the process
of doing that :)
