as Saturday night but still windy. It's very mild though - 12°C out there.

It's lovely here, still damp underfoot but we've got Walter and the BYT.
There is a slight chill in the air but nothing a sweater can't cope with and
absolute bliss after the gales.

Morning Jackie yep its wet and windy here too ,seems much the same all over
doesen't it ?.

I don't have out side lights never have had , but they look nice, except
some on telly
just now i don't think I would want all them outside my window ;-)))))

Good luck to Old Rose for her forthcoming operation. Special thoughts for
all poorlies. Not pleasant being poorly at any time but especially so at
this time of year. Can't have you missing out on the frivolities :-)

Ditto.

We had the grand switch-on of the outdoor lights last night with everything
functioning as it should except for one brand-new flashing star whose
flasher packed in after a couple of hours. Back it will go to B&Q this
morning :-(

Yes, wet and windy here in Kent also.

I'm going to get my winter wheels put on today I think, enough is
enough.

Thinking of you Old Rose. I've heard good things about knee and hip
replacements, try not to worry.

Tiling (maybe :D ), changing car wheels, waiting in for computer techie
to sort out my desktop computer (tried blowing it like Splodge
suggested - nothing). Mum arriving home today too.
I wo*k three mornings a week, so have to cram in all the other stuff
around that. That's why I'm having a lay in - I have to get up for
wo*k at 05:30 tomorrow.. yawn.

Yes, had a busy day. Didn't do the tiling (I didn't think I would;
gotta be it the right mood and I wasn't). Got the snow/mud tyres on (I
feel much safer now).

The techie came, he's only just gone; says it's a naff network card and
he's coming back tomorrow.

Oh well, lasagne for dinner..... and an early night.

Got to B&Q customer service desk, explained symptoms of non-twinkling
twinklet.
Lady behind counter removes twinklet from box, plugs it in and it twinkles
perfectly

But you knew Sod's Law would apply :-)

Couldn't give me a refund on that basis.
I explained to her that it was only twinkling perfectly intermittently and
that I was not prepared to take it home only to have to bring it back
again.
She agreed and refunded the necessary funds to my card account.

So that's who has the B&Q brain cell today. I wonder when (if?) it will make
it's way back up here :-)

We now have an old non-twinkling twinklet in the kitchen window so we'll
make do with that.

Ooops! Just been informed by SWKATT (she who knows about these things) that
it is not a twinklet but a snowflake

Why do B&Q use such garish orange coloured paper for their till receipts?
